Maybe you can ask hubby to try to be a little patient until you can get it together.
It's difficult to say why you're not hungry. If you were ill, and were not eating on a regular basis, the big issue is your stomach has shrunk. Actually our stomachs are only as large as our fists, so if you were significantly overweight, then the loss would be expected.
What you have to do is when he does cook, try eating a little. Then have a small treat..something you always enjoyed eating before...cookie with a cup of tea or coffee or a glass of milk. It sometimes takes us awhile to get back into the eating habit. Just because we've been without food, isn't serious unless we choose to do nothing to help ourselves.
You can also begin too, by picking up some bottles of Ensure. I even like it for dieting and it has all the neutrients you need. If you're diabetic, then they have a formula for diabetics.
Being honest, unless you try to keep on at least a small regimen close to what you used to eat, (not in excess of course) then of course you won't feel well.
Think about some of the places you used to go with hubby when eating out...what was your favorite? Sometimes when we back away from food during times of illness, it's hard to get back into it and because our stomachs have gone back into place and smaller, we just fill up faster. So, perhaps this is where you're at.
That's what I did though, when I had lost my appitite and didn't eat. I was certain when I cooked for the family, I made something that I always liked then just increased by one piece at a time until I got back on track. So, maybe take a trip to the freezer and look for the things you liked the best, and at least take it out for hubby. Ask him to cook that because 'you really like that cut of meat' or 'you think the chicken would be a good idea.' You'll be surprised how much better he will feel, about you feeling well enough to make that decision. It's okay...you'll get better, but you'll just have to concentrate on it. When he goes to the store, have him pick up that Ensure for you. They make vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. I love it, myself. Also start taking a B Complex vitiman, which is known as the stress vitiman. It'll help, honestly.

Well...I am in the same situation.
Let me give you a bit of background information first of all.
I was studying Technical Production at QUT last year, which was an extremely physically tolling course, due to the hours and everything. Living on the Gold Coast did not help, as I had to travel up on the train everyday, a 6am train up, and 10.30pm train home (if I was lucky). My strange sleeping habits (1 hour-4 hours a night) did not help, and I barely got time to eat. This made my eating routine go "bye byes" and disappear on an extended vacation. Due to this, I have lost weight, and cannot for the life of me put it back on, which sucks.
My mum says that in order to get my appetite back, and put weight on (so I can play seniors for PBC this year) means I will have to have 5 or 6 smaller meals a day, everyday, at the same time, while slowly building up the meal sizes. Unfortunately, due to my active lifestyle (I also ride and run a fair bit) this has not helped so far, although I have put on 4kgs in the last month, which is a start.
I have also found that banana smoothies are helping a lot as well! I am pretty much addicted to them now haha!
I hope that helps, as it is not a nice feeling...Best of luck with it. :)

Eat nourishing food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables being part of it. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will activate signal to the brain as soon as u have had enough. Besides this change in eating style, take regular light exercises and brisk walks every day. U will be able to gain/shed all extra weight gracefully and in a reasonable time span. No food or drink in between the food and not more than three meals a day, unless u r diabetic.

Your appetite will return even after your sickness seems to have resolved your appetite will still be a bit off for a week or so. It also depends on the illness. Try to eat light meals like soup, toast and anything you feel you can stomach (even ice cream or jello if you feel you can eat it) drink plenty of water and rest if you have a virus or a temporary illness your appetite will return to normal soon.

The only morning sickness i've was once nausea between 5-8 weeks. That's all. I can't eat anything close what i ate before i was pregnant. I've determined it less difficult to devour a whole bunch of small ingredients, instead of the opposite huge three. When your pregnant, you will have to reall simplest be eating an additional 300 calories a day. So just kinda munch on healthful stuff for the period of the day.

I feel most upset for you as I myself am in the same situation where I can only eat small amounts at a time if at all. Its very hard when you are not feeling well and people keep telling you you must eat more or you are going to waste away to nothing. I at the moment weigh 45kg. and have to fight to keep that weight on and it does not help when you look at food and just can't seem to put it in your mouth. The secret is try to eat when you think you might be able to even if it is only a few bites. You are very lucky to have a husband who will cook for you unfortunately mine can't or won't then complains when I cook that I only take a few bites even if it is something that I think I might be able to eat but by the time I get it cooked and on the table I just can't force myself to eat more than a few mouthfuls. This not only upset him but me as well as I know I have to eat but when you know if you take one more mouthful you are going to be ill is when it really hurts. I find if I just can't face anything I can quite often eat a piece of bread with honey on it which I know is not a substutite for food but at least it is something. I find if I do get hungry have something to eat right then even if it is a handful of grapes and is not a regular mealtime. I don't think there is any easy answer to your question but try to get well keep yourself fit without overdoing it and keep trying. I have been like this for years now and hope one day that I will really enjoy food once again. God luck and take care of yourself as you are the only one that can do it. I know there are suppliments that are supposed to help you put on weight but all they do for me is make me feel ill so once again take care and good luck.
