I don't eat fast food, but I know why ppl do. People are always in a hurry. It's fast, convenient, cheap, and although it's extremely unhealthy, it tastes good. There is no mess to clean up, you can eat it in the car when you are on the go, during a 30 minute lunch break at work, late at night when you don't have time to cook, early in the morning when rushing to work, or when doing errands, it's a quick filler for a growling stomach. If you have kids, they want the toy inside the kids meal. TV is allot to blame for that. So with the media, cost, and busy lifestyles, it's no wonder ppl can't stop eating it!

i think for a lot of people the priorities in life are different. People do so much, they dont always have time to be able to prepare a home cooked meal. Some people are just lazy though, and sometimes the nastiest food is the cheapest and easiest to prepare. I try to cook a meal from scratch about 5 times a week, but i am one of the few people who can be a stay at home mum, so i probably have more time than many, however, i also like to see my family eating healthy food.
Fast food is loaded with fat and apparantly that enhances flavour, so people get hooked( loads of addictive sugar in it too). I dont think eating it on occasions is too bad if overall you have a good and healthful diet, but some people eat it all the time.

Because most americians are lazy self-indulgent little wieners who only want whats fast, easy, and cheep. Plus they dont realize what there actually shoveling into there society polished chompers. All the fats, preservatives, artificial colors and flavors, chemicals and left over flesh that was scraped up off of the processing plant floor with a flat head shovel that most likely hasen't been cleaned or ever hosed off since only God knows when. On top of that the filth caused to the food by the people who prepare the garbagz for the undercontent costomer like dropping particiles of said consumable substanance on the work area flooring where the shoe of the minimum wage labor driven employee smears all that had been steped, slid, rubbed and wieghed down onto the the greesy, filty, soel of the seven month shoe, is placed back onto the serving platter. Like possibally old chewing gum from a mono patient, a brownish, greenish yellow lugy hauked from nose to throught to mouth and then prepailed unto the foundation of all manual human travel, the chunky upchuck from a persons last night alcoholic vendetta or possibally, just probabally the small hardly noticable fresh warm slimey excretion from a loved pets rectum, I do say who could really tell. On top of that at a L*ng J**n Sil**** I actually witnessed a fellow employee hauk and spit into one of the friers used to cook the food which people digested for months after for lack of store higiene at a place I briefly worked. I new it was susposed to be fried fish and chicken but slimy and unchewable are past me. On another ocation I was forced to return my platter twice on one setting at a local Dairy ***** because of the uncovered 4in.+ beard of the cook must have been in its sheeding stage. And if that dosen't answer your question make an appointment with one of the factories that process the meat for the hotdogs, bologna, spam, sliced meats and see what is put into it and how it is made. Then do the same with the plant that makes your dogs food and see the diffrence! I promise you'll have a new found insight on why it is you should make not only yourself but your pets vegitarians. And dont even get me started on how they grow and prepair the fruits and veggies. Instead of all of that maybe its all just about subliminal messages!?! Thanks for your question, Good luck and God speed!

Can't we? Maybe if you're on the road a lot and don't have a lot of cash, then it may be the only affordable option, for non-fast-food is often more expensive when eating out. But otherwise, just do it if that's what you want.
I like it just occasionally, and since I don't have a weight problem I don't think it's that bad to eat it when I want it, but if I had to stop I'm sure I could, it's not one of my favorites.

Convenient..value for money..everyone thinks that because it's cheap (money wise) it's cheap when really when we indulge in it too much, there is a high price to pay and I'm not talking about money..I'm talking about our weight, health problems associated with possibly becoming obese (raised risk of heart-attack, high cholesterol, vitamin deficiencies, no energy etc), self-control issues, self-esteem issues (some people eat unhealthy food because they have a low self-esteem and not alot of self-respect).
Also, it is ready "in a flash". No one wants to wait these days for anything..such as the time it takes to prepare a wholesome meal for dinner and the effort associated with it.
And no, I'm not old at all "no one wants to wait these days" nor am I obese, lack self-esteem etc. We have fast-food occasionally as a treat but that is about it.

Because it's convenient when I'm not at home and I'm hungry. And it tastes good, although these days the side salad often sounds more appealing than the greasy fries.

Perhaps because you don't know anybetter. You should watch the documentary "Supersize me", it may open your eyes. Fast food is very bad for you. Think of your arteries.
