well, you can download either a codec pack, so you can play everything or you can download VLC media player

i'd rather stick to Windows Media Player so

yes its a codec indentifier which when u display a video it will display which coded was made with or Avicodec either way G-spot and Avicodec will display that codec that was made with the codec but if your using Xp u dont really need to kuz Xp arleady has built in codecs in there and if u download codecs that u dont need then ull end up corrupting the codecs installed in xp
