only looking for friendship for now. She did say she wanted to get together later. What is going on? I'm getting mixed signals?

Sounds like she's trying to let you down gently. You go on dates to see if there is a connection. She evidently didn't find what she was looking for and is telling you she wants to go the "Friend" route.

IF you guys do get together later then view its as another opportunity to change her mind as it's in another setting. Or at least gather intel on WHY she is only looking for friendship now or if that is actually the reason.

IF she cancels at the last second she's doing the "fade-out" routine on you and trying to let you down without feeling guilty about it. The get together later this is a jedi mind trick to give you hope there will be a next time.

The goal is to let the passage of time soften the blow because you tell yourself "well she did say we'd hook up later but something came up." You entertain yourself with that illusion not realizing that "something" that came up is probably another guy.

If she's the type of person who actually could be a good friend then don't let that go it could always change later. But I'd avoid her for a bit if it hurt. No need in torturing yourself. Girls really don't have much respect for women who fawn all over them like puppies. It's not a challenge for them cuz they know they "own" you.

If friendship is possible then move on and shine with someone who IS in a good spot right now. Just because she's put you on hold doesn't mean you can't hang up and hang out with someone else.

Yes you are!!! Probably she just came out of a relationship and still have feelings for the other person. Or probably she likes you but she wants to know you better.

To tell you the truth, I respect her honesty!!! I don't think she is doing this on purpose just to hurt you.

Just be friends, relax, go out again, and again that's the only way you could possibly be closer, and find out for sure what is it that she has in her mind!!!
