I must be abnormal (or damn lucky), my guy is just not like that he will give me a kiss just for the sake of giving me a kiss and not want anything else same goes with a cuddle and holding hands. But I do know what you mean in general, most guys from a young age are raised to ' be a man''boy's don't cry''boy's don't kiss/hug all the time it's not manly', this is the trend that sort of starts it all.

Funny that this 'age old' question was never heard by me before? The (good) guys that I've been with always initiated the kisses and the holding hands in public. Maybe he's shy, maybe he's not that into you!

Not all men do that. If you love someone, you'd want to be around them, hold them, touch them, talk to them in a way that would show how much you do love them. I tell my lady I love her everyday, and I prove it. I write her notes, even on Kleenex or on the back of a scrap piece of paper. She does the same to me. We enjoy one another in all areas, share the same interests & for the ones that we don't, we compromise. I don't necessarily like ballets, and she doesn't like football games, but we do both. The answer is maybe you should initiate more of the affection. If he wants to "dive in", tell him you just want to add more spice to the relationship and go from there.

People have different ways of expressing their feelings. Some people do it through physical contact, others through terms of endearment, and so forth. A book that really helped me to understand this better is "The Five Love Languages" by Chapman. I hope you can get it from your local library -- it's a pretty quick read.

its nothing like that guys are affection-phobic ,some guys would be not everyone...therez nothing wrong in showing care and concern for someone close to you..its small jestures like this that makes relationship special, though it may seem small jesture to anyone but only you can know how special they are ...looks like you are with the wrong person who cant reciprocate the care and concern that you have for him...

We're guys!!, what do you expect? We know that when we have sex, we wont have to worry if we are pregnant or not and just want to have a good time and feel good, not get held down by a relationship.
