the person who has been taking care of it must have been using bad words. thus resulting in the parrot calling u bad names. u really shouldn't torture it and should rather praise it for remembering those words for so long! :P

Stop letting anyone around it say bad words. The bird is being rewarded for saying these words and therefore will repeat them. The less he hears, the better.

Completely ignore him when he calls you bad names--give him no reward for such speech. Instead lavish attention and praise on him when he says things you like and that are acceptable. If you completely ignore the bad name calling, it should subside, and possibly extinguish altogether, with time...!
