ok, i love both breeds very much!! from experience with both of them, i would reccomend a lab. the reason i would do this is that labs rarely become aggressive and terretorial. rotties arent necessarily aggressive, but can be when they think someone is invading their territory. it is not a nasty thing they r doing, though it will apear that way to humans. they r just being very protective.

if u are planning on bringing children into ur life at some point, this can be hard sometimes with a rottie because of their terretorial nature. labs are very easy going and make GREAT family pets! they r very intelligent and loving. (not that rotties arent, but labs are more so).

rotties can also be very into one person, sometimes making it hard to have people over becausse they are ut to protect their master. labs will accept anyone!!

Good luck with ur new pet!! =)

Labs are probably one of the best all around mellow, get along with everyone and anyone, breeds out there--English gentleman developed the breed for this temperment and it shows. Labs are very steady dogs that do not spook easily and accept new things and change with ease.

Rotts are wonderful dogs as well, but much more cautious and a little more fear-based than labs. It's because of this fear base that they can sometimes be a little unpredictable and/or aggressive. A relationship with a Rott is usually much more complex and a little more work than with the happy-go-lucky labrador...

I currently own a yellow lab and she is the best thing to come into my family's life. Besides the fact she is a big lover, she is super with the kids and other dogs. Very protective too if the need arises. God forbid someone comes to the door. lol. I personally don't care for Rotts, but Im sure Rott owners will have a different opinion.
Just know the Lab is the number one rated family dog. The only downfall to a lab is the shedding. But if you keep up on brushing then you can get it under control.
Good luck on your decision

It will depend mainly on what kind of dog you want and if you have young age children around. Also how much time are you going to be able to spend with the dog. Both dogs are great dogs just have to decide if you want a really huge dog (rottweiler) or a medium to large dog(labrador).

Labs are wonderful dogs. Make certain you buy from a good breeder though or else you will have temperament and health problems. Also make certain to read up on the breed, what they were designed for, what they are like, and what they are going to need from you. That way your prepared no matter what breed you choose to fit into your lifestyle. If you're still not certain and even if you are, ask the breeder. A good breeder will have quite a few questions for you so why not have some of your own ready to fire back?

Bleck! Neither.labs have been bred so much, they seem to be developing tons more health problems and they run a high risk of cancer.Rottis are a liability, even though they are generally pretty nice dogs. They also have the same problem with cancer and other joint diseases. The question is, how much money do you want to spend on a dog in it's lifetime? If you say "However much is necessary," then either one of those dogs will be great for you.If you say, "I only have about $50 on me at any given time," then a gerbil is sounding really nice.

You need to do a lot more research, Labradors & Rottweilers are very different breeds with very different personalities & you have to decide which suits your way of life & own personality best. Contact some breed clubs & as to be put in touch with reputable breeders so you can see the breeds in their home environment - it's the only way you can decide.

A lab is a less agressive dog, but if you raise a rottweiler correctly they can be gentle as well, so it really depends on how experienced you are with rasing and training dogs .

well, rottweilers are known to be rather aggressive every now and then but theyre still nice dogs. and labradors are nice dogs pretty much all the time, unless theyre taught to be mean.. and with rottweilers you may find your insurance gets more expensive -- if you can persuade your insurer to cover you at all.

It does look many human beings pay attention to undesirable memories with regards to the countless different extra suitable breeds. i think of Retrievers and Labs are sturdy canine yet i does not p.c.. them as terrific or my popular breed. I ensue to be between the those that rejoice with possessing rottweilers, pittbulls, and american bull canine. I actual have owned a number of and none have been propose and not an incredible kin canine. Any breed might properly be made propose by being taught to be propose or maybe by their very very own character. As an entire the bigger canine get a undesirable rap it is extra delusion/ or created than by nature. i will continuously have those sort breeds as area of my kin. I as quickly as had 9 at one time or maybe that wasn't a project different than it replace into to many....human beings saved bringing me extra and that i could not turn them away. at the instant I actual have one canine. i don't intend to take extra suitable than 2 entire anymore. **the bigger ones might look extra frightening yet from my journey the smaller canine are extra nippy. **Lelis, I additionally examine something comparable purely the the terrific option 3 hat had bitten have been so as: German Shepard, Dalmation, then the Cocker Spaniel. i think of Shepard's might have been first because of the fact they're many times used as police canine and that i think of they might have executed some biting. Dalmatian's extra look hyper to me. Cocker spaniels might properly be nippy yet I had 3 that have been very astounding and on no account nipped. i think that statistic might desire to alter from 3 hundred and sixty 5 days to 3 hundred and sixty 5 days.
