I have noticed I am a very light sleeper and most other people I know don't wake up to things that I wake up to. I sleep great and never had any problems.... Just want to know why some wake up easier than others.

You are one of the lucky ones. They always say that good sleep is part of youth. As you get older, your hormonal patterns change, your biological alarm clock tells you not to sleep but go carousing. Then as yget more and more older. your body tries to settle, but habits die hard and your patterns are wonky as heck. You have worked days, afternoons and nights, studied till day break, put up with crying babies, patients, friends, parties.
You would have had several flights all over the world in different times so its no wonder why you cannot sleep. You are messed up.

Learn to "create" a sleeping environment and take it with you wherever you go. WHen those around you could not sleep, be gentle. and kick them out of your room so you can sleep. :-)

i think its more like what your used to rather than if ur a heavy or light sleeper. you can easily change, but u have to want to change. thats why most heavy sleepers can wake up easily when they have a test, an important meeting, or a flight in the morning! catch the drift? its more like what u want rather than what you are! i changed my sleeping process from heavy to light, wasn't easy, but kinda got used to the new thing! i used to have 5 different clocks that are real loud! u don't wanna be in my room, and id barely wake up! and now its only my phone alarm
