I have been dating this man for about a year now. I love him very much and I always will. Our relationship is still coming along but for some reason when I tell him I love him he tells me "you don't love me the way I love you". I tell him I love him every day. I even try to show him that I love him but I still recieve the same answer. what you think I should do? Every day he hold me at night and say "I will never leave you " but he pushes me away because he thinks I don't love him. I love him daily. I'm really confused.

Tell him you don't like that... that it makes you feel like you DON'T love him.
I've also been with my boyfriend for almost a year. I would tell him that I love him. He would say, "No you don't." That hurts more. Because he didn't even say it back either. But I got tired of it... so I told him straight up how I felt about that. And guess what? He doesn't do that anymore.
If he really loves you, he will listen to what you're saying. I really don't think that response is that bad. Because he's saying that he loves you MORE. My boyfriend says that he loves me more than I love him. I just say, "Well ok." LOL.

Stop saying it for a while and do something different;like cooking his favorite meal or think of something really special that he would enjoy.
He's obviously been disappointed and hurt in the past. He may also think that you are too good for him.
Compliment him more as well. Say things like 'you are so sexy, smart,you rock my world, I'm so glad I have you.'

He's got esteem problems, and seems to have a fear of commitment.
He's got this idea that Everyone leaves him, and so he'll treat you that way, until you get disgusted and leave him, thus proving him right, and you wrong.
Either ask him to seek counseling or move on.

he is dealing with things inside himself. He does not thinking he deserves you.
He needs to tell himself he deserves you and you love him. Get him to start telling himself that, changing the words he tells himself will eventually change himself.
