Does anyone know if it is possible to join the seminary for a summer only?

I know its a life commitment. But Im only 18 and am not ready to make it permanent.

Not really.

But many Catholic (and Christian) colleges and universities have theology programs what would parallel the early courses of a seminary. These schools would have summer courses.

I repeat the recommendation above, contact the Office of Vacations in your diocese. They can answer all your questions and help lead you to the right decision.

The seminaries I know about have school terms like everyone else. The students go home during the Summer.

You could be a camp councilor at a camp for boys and get the same training. Just for the summer!
