It's more a matter of mixed messages. If she lets on that she likes you, then teases, it's like gasoline on the fire. Too much is a problem, though. A woman can play so hard to get that a guy gives up on her.

Depends if I have a few beers in me! Also it depends where you are and the situation. If the teasing is sexual in nature call her bluff. If she just met you and is talking sex I'd say call her on it..put up or shut up teasing gets you nowhere. If you've known her for awhile and aren't sure chat her friends up and see what they say about things. there may be a ulterior motive behind all the teasing like trying to make someone jealous or maybe she's looking for a sugar daddy? Or maybe she's a psycho b***h and thinks you have a ego and is trying to cut you down a notch? Call'er bluff and be done with it..they make other chicks!! I also would give the same advice to chicks towards guys teasing too!

Games are for kids. I'd just walk away. If you don't have the social skills to keep someone interested and need to resort to playing games then when they finally do get to know you it will be a complete let down because you held them off for some grand finale and it turns out to be a dud.
If someone is attracted be attracted. Don't act all stupid and aloof when they finally shine some attention on you because those who know who they are and what they want aren't into games. It's a waste of time. Social banter is one thing. Teasing/hard to get when you've already said you are attracted to someone is something else entirely.
But it could be we have different definitions of teasing. Maybe you should update your question. But telling us what you define as teasing.

Some straight guys worry about 'gay by association'. That is, if they are friends with a gay person, then other people will think they are gay too.Despite being married with kids. So as a kind of defence mechanism they make these 'see I'm not gay jokes/comments' to announce their non-gayness. They are clearly uncomfortable. It is possible there is something deeper like being bi, in denial or on the DL. You're only one in a position to find out.

A lot of boys are not secure enough to reverse the meaning of the tease. You need to be sensitive and let have have hints if he is not responding.
I do not know why being direct is so not done. Wow, what about saying I like you enough to want to know more?

This depends on how laid-back the guy is. If you play "hard to get" around a guy who is more serious, he may not catch on. Someone who isn't so serious would probably be better attracted to the "hard to get" approach

It depends, if she keeps playing hard to get and the guy persists he runs the risk of being labelled a stalker.

Absolutely...it's the thrill of the chase that's more exciting than the actual catch...
Like the sizzle before the sausage...Umm, I take that back.

Depends on the girl...
I may want her more or I may get fed up and look elsewhere for a hottie.
