My ex and I split up bout a month ago, we were together almost 2 yrs and were best friends. A couple of weeks after the split he claimed he was already over it and moving on, not with anyone else jus that he was fine, then the other day he says hes not fine and that he still cant c how he could grow to love someone as much as me. Is he really over us and jus sayin that or is he not over us? I find it hard to believe he could be over us when we were together that long and he cried when we split. There is a remote chance of us bein together in the future, he is adamant he never goes back but says anythin is possible...

If you ask me, he is not over you. When he claimed he was, he either thought that he was or said that for some other motive, perhaps to make you jealous. When he says he never goes back, well, yeah, most people said that before they go back. Take everything he says regarding the relationship with a grain of salt for the time being. He is not over you.

Of course he's not over it. It takes time. He just wants the pain to go away. He doesn't want you to know how much he's hurting. He wants to deny it to himself, as well. As far as getting back together, maybe he's just afraid that you'll just break up again and he will have to deal with all the pain all over again.
I'm guessing that you initiated the split, based on the information you supplied.

I think he is confused on this he truly was in love with you and is not sure what to do now that your gone.
He says one thing to try to hurt you like he is hurt but then trys to take it back because in his heart he really does not want to hurt you.
Yes there is a chance that you will get back together, and I believe it will be in the next six months
