You feel like $*** on Sundays because you are hungover. You drink to get drunk every Friday and Saturday? You are young and you are an alcoholic. Do something about it before it takes over your life. Wouldn't you rather be in charge of you instead of letting the alcohol be in charge? Don't let it destroy you.

No! You will no get seizures or blackouts due to eliminating alchohol from your diet. You may feel a little of the shaking desire that alcoholics sometimes get if they have to stop cold turkey but I wouldn't worry about any severe damage as of yet. The truth be told, at your age I was drinking every other day. Not to get drunk. Just to catch a buzz. The problems you have sited might occur after many years of drinking. Liver and kidney malfunctions are the most prevalent symptoms of alcoholism. You don't seem like an alcoholic so, if you choose to stop or limit your consumption there should be no ill effects at all. A good thing to do if you decide to stop is start a regiment of healthier eating habits and replenish the vitamins and minerals that have difficulty getting absorbed by your body due to excessive drinking. If you are generally healthy, as you say you are, then you should not worry. Take a break, relax, and stop! Getting drunk is usually not much fun. Sharing a bottle of a good red wine with a friend is a much better way to go. Good luck, and don't stress about it too much.

Normally unless you are an alcoholic i.e its a disease situation where your body craves for alcohol all the 24 hours and one cannot live without having some amount of it in ones blood. Whereas in your case you are drinking only on two days and not drinking the rest of the week and therefore you are not alcoholic and you will not get any seizures however when you are quitting alcohol you should take vitamin C tablets around 2 gms per day for a period of 1 month so that your body gets enough resistance to stop your craving for the same. All the best stop drinking nothing will happen except good.

As a person that had to stop this summer becase of liver problems, If you start having withdrawl symtoms rather than hangovers you are in trouble. These include the DT's. If you are getting DT's you are damaging brain receptors, and yes, stopping is a problem. There are drugs they give such patients to help them through that part.
You did not mention how much you drink those two days, only more than usual. You could also be looking at alcohol poisening.
Not criticising your choices, I rather enjoyed drinking, I just can't anymore so it is no longer an issue, but if it is bothering you, you are showing signs of something more advanced. Read up on DT's on the net, it should give you all the info you need.
Good luck with it.

It's normal to feel like **** on the next day, come on, don't worry:)
um.. I don't know about the seizures though, it appears to me that the cause may be lying somewhere else, I don't know how you experience them, usually my hands tremble after a tough nigh, but that will be all nothing serious really. If you are conserened just turn to someone who can give you a reasonable expert answer, though I haven't felt or met a person who have had seizures from alchoholic abstinence:)
After all every pleasure has an equal but negative impact sooner or later on our life:)
But cheers!

Seizures are caused when a person is a heavy alcoholic and suddenly stops. The seizure is an adverse withdrawal effect. The body has gotten used to the alcohol and when it doesn't get it, it responds in this way. You don't seem to be to that degree yet, but sounds like you are headed there.

You're fine. Don't let these preachy kids on this board tell you otherwise. Seizures??? I don't know what YOU'VE been drinking, but I've never seen 'em. The reason you feel like crap the next day is because you're hung over. PS: Hair of the dog. Works every time.

Uhhhh...drinking a few days a week isn't going to make your body depend on alcohol to survive...and you won't get withdrawl from it.
You most likely feel like **** because you got drunk two nights in a row...its what happens when you party.

You may need help for alcohol abuse. Alcohol should be enjoyed in moderation otherwise it can destroy your liver and your brain. Getting drunk on a regular basis is not a good idea, respectfully. Take care.
