It might help if you actually look up the word "strait" (see link below). It is "strait" because it requires discipline - a broken heart and a contrite spirit, the spirit of sacrifice - that you give up the world in order to rely on the mercies of Jesus Christ and His Atonement. It is narrow because you can't have one foot on the path to God and one foot hanging off the edge in the world. If you consider how many people are in the world and all those who have ever lived, percentage-wise it seems like few of them have actually been Christians. But have faith that our Heavenly Father is mindful of all of His children, and there is a plan prepared so that even those who do not hear the fulness of the Gospel while they are on the earth will hear it at the right time, because God is not a partial God, and all of His children have the right to call on the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Have a happy day, and I send you a gummy bear.

that's common. Terestrial refers to existence in the international. Terra (or terra firma) is latin and Greek for "earth". So Terestrial is a existence sort made out of flesh able to living in the international. Celestial refers back to the celebs, the textile heavens. (interior the Bible 3 heavens are stated: earth's atmosphere the place there is air and birds fly...that's the inheritance of logically sufficient, airplane pilots.....then there is the heaven of area the place many stars, planets, asteroids, comets, and so on are: the logical inheritance of astronauts or megastar trekkers....the third and optimal heaven is the homestead of spirit creatures who don't have flesh and bones Luke 24:39 and is the place Jehovah God and his son Jesus and the human beings chosen to be judges circulate stay as spirit creatures with the angels...a million Cor. 6:2, 3, 15:50) Mormons have confidence you could desire to be righteous or sturdy sufficient to get to a minimum of one or the different and while you're actually not sturdy sufficient, you reside in the international. As a Catholic (or some previous Protestant faiths), you do not know that the Bible teaches some righteous new earth the place the animals do not devour meat and play with human beings and absolutely everyone sturdy and undesirable who've ever lived get resurrected lower back to earth to learn Bible certainty. Isaiah sixty 5:17-sixty six:a million, Matthew 5:5, 6:10, Isaiah eleven:6-9, Psalm 37 (word vs 29), seventy 8:sixty 9, Eccles. a million:4, Psalm 148, extra.... I particularly won't be in a position to fathom that a Catholic church might settle for a seminary degree from a Mormon college. The theologies are hugely different much extra so than between Catholic and mainline Protestant. i'm one among Jehovah's Witnesses. I actual have a level from a Baptist seminary earlier earlier I ever heard of JWs. Debbie

The strait gate is baptism and recieving the gift of the Holy Ghost. The way is following the life of Jesus Christ. It doesn't matter as much where you are on the path as it does that you are on it, and you are pushing forward. We all have our own weakness, and we are all mortal. Sometimes God isn't so concerned with our success as He is with our effort. So don't give up. The parable of the ten virgins teaches about ten virgins who are awaiting the master. Five have brought oil, and five have not. Though they were all waiting for him, only half were valiant in their efforts. So yes, there are few who find the way.

Perhaps if each person would focus on knowing themselves and finding out what their own thoughts, beliefs and spiritual quest is all about....then it would be easier to to focus on what's right. We'd have no time to notice the faults of others, resulting in less judgements and less confusion and less need for confusion.

Helping each other along the path of discovery would also be beneficial to everyone.

What the verse is saying is that the pathway to heaven is hard to follow it's not impossible but it'll cost you your life of sin your gonna make mistakes it doesn't mean your going to fall off the path into hell you just pause in place for a second or two but you keep going if you follow Christ

What do you expect? Everyone to get in and start quarreling in heaven just like on earth?

Remember this, Adam was banished for eating a fruit, Moses was prohibited from entering Canaan for striking a rock. The standards are there. There's only ONE WILL.

God's will.

The key to bible study is to cherry pick the stuff that you like and ignore what you don't like. Everybody does it, you have to because the bible is so confused and contradictory. If Mathew 7:14 bugs you then forget it and go check out my personal favorite:

John 14:14.
"You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it."

It's not true either but at least it's upbeat.

the way to life is heaven, and this will be harder to accept, because down this road it is narrow and you will have a harder time keeping track of finishing to the finish line because you will be tempted...but the way to hell is wide and easy there are no worries, because it is "sugar coated" and what every body else is doing....you'll fit in with the world and you will be accepted by the world....but God said to love not the world nor the things of this world, because is full of evil and you will not be able to bring the things of this world with you in heaven. The way of life is harder and not always readily accepted by everyone...and yes there will be few who will follow it....BUT whats better eternal life or eternal death and seperation from God?

Remember you always have to interpret scripture with scripture. Jesus said, in John 14:6, that He was the way, the truth and the life. The straight path and narrow way that this verse speaks of, is belief in Jesus Christ, and Jesus Christ alone, for salvaion. There is no other name under heaven by which anyone might be saved.
