Well they are two totally different types of fighting. In Pride you can do stuff like knee people in the head while they are on the ground. But in UFC you can't. I think UFC is more organized and technical.

But they are both great to watch and I think the UFC is starting to take all the good fighters with Rampage Jackson and Cro Cop coming over here. Pride only has now Wanderlei Silva and Emelienko. But they are hard to compare.

to anyone that is ignorant enough to actually believe that the ufc is better then pride you obviously don't know much other then what you see on spike TV, let me make several key points that will let you know why pride is superior to any mma shows as of right now (ufc is getting better and may some day be better then pride) *****every pride show matches up elite fighter vs elite fighter(top of the food chain) and hardly does rematches, as for the ufc they don't have enough fighters to make one solid show its always about the main event (and believe they remind you twenty times during the show) and its probably a rematch at that.*****for every ufc fighter, pride can match up one of their fighters and win 95% of all the match ups (liddel & st pierre are the only fighters of pride's quality, and of course the three ex pride fighters cro cop, heering, and jackson)********and come on those reality show fighters are WEAK and a damn SHAME******** leban is he realy as good as joe rogan says he is? or does fear play a factor. PRIDE FC is still the very best in MMA for all you non believers go ahead and keep ordering ufc events its your loss, and to remind you the main event of the evening is coming up later when so and so fights so and so for the second or third time this month

It makes me sick reading these answers. UFC has no where near the talent pool that Pride has. Everyone get over that fact now because there is no arguement. You can't compare fighters like Fedor Emelianenko and Tim Sylvia. It would be like comparing the MLS with other European soccer leagues. Get over it already people UFC is a second rate organization with horrible fighters. But it is changing. I'm glad to see Rampage come over so he can kick Chucks *** again and finally shut all you ignorant UFC fans up.

The pride fighters would not come over and take every belt in the UFC. We have and will see that with the in the UFC's weaker divisions - the Middleweight, Lightweight and Heavyweight divisions.

Anderson Silva came in and destroyed Rich Franklin, but was an average middleweight over in Pride. CroCop will get the heavyweight title once he gets his chance, coming over from Pride second only to the best in the world, Fedor Emelianenko. The UFC's current lightweight champion, Sean Sherk, is ranked #10 overall in his weight class behind 9 Pride Fighters. The UFC has the best welterweights in the world, hands down. No one in Pride could hang with St. Pierre, Hughes, BJ Penn or Diego Sanchez at 170 lbs (perhaps Gomi or Henderson, were they to fight out of their weight classes). As for the Light Heavyweights, it's pretty much a toss up. Chuck Liddell is currently ranked #1 in the world, then you have Shogun Rua, Wenderlai, and Arona over in Pride. The only one of those three who has a real chance of beating the Iceman is Rua. Settle down all of you Wandi fans and hear me out. Wandi has had two recent losses (Arona + CroCop) and nearly lost to Dan Henderson in their first fight. He rarely puts his title on the line and remains champ because he'll never have to fight the top contender, Shogun Rua, because they both train at Chute Boxe. If he beats Henderson and Arona this year, I may have a change of heart. Then the rankings go back to the UFC with Babalu, Ortiz and Jackson filling out the top ten along with Overeem and Nakamura (who doesn't belong in the top 10).

That all being said, UFC is on the up slope, whereas Pride is on the down slope. UFC is pulling in more money and will eventually start to attract the top fighters, due to sheer exposure and sponsorships. Pride lost their TV deal, the second best heavyweight in the world, and a few exhibition matches to Bodog. And for all of you out there, Rampage didn't come over from Pride, he came over from the WEC. He just made his bones in Pride, before losing three times to the top two LHWs and will lose to Chuck.

That depends if the Pride fighters would be on steroids or not. All that aside. I enjoy both shows. Would I like to see some crossovers? You bet I would, but it will never happen unless UFC actually buys Pride which I don't see happening.

Overall Pride has a MUCH better talent pool. Especially in the heavyweight and middleweight. But there is one thing I don't know. Do they test for steroids in Pride? Not accusing just wondering. And there are more than Fedor and Silva over there. Noguiera, Gomi, Henderson, Rua, Arona. I know a lot of people think they're overrated, but the Gracies are still very good. Dennis Kang, Yoshida.

The only way to find out is to put all the titles from both organizations on the line. UFC Champions VS PRIDE Champions.

Good Question.

Pride definitely has a more talented pool of fighters. And lets take a look at this by the weight classes. Just for fun lets say the top 2 fighters from each weight class were to fight eachother. I know there will be differing opinions on who the top 2 fighers are from each organization but this is just my opinion.

155 lbs
Sherk vs Gomi - Winner Gomi
BJ Penn vs Melendez - Penn probably wins, but this would real close

170 lbs - This ones tough cause Pride doesn't really have this weight class.
GSP vs Sakurai - GSP takes this one for sure
Hughes vs Kawajiri - Hard to call here but I think Hughes wins based on his strength and size advantage, but Kawajiri is tough

185 lbs
Anderson Silva vs Dan Henderson - I think Henderson takes this one, he has the stgon wrestling background that will give Silva trouble.
Rich Franklin vs Denis Kang - I would love to see this fight, but I think Rich's striking would edge out Kang.

205 lbs
Liddell vs Shogun - Too close to call
Wanderlei Silva Vs Rampage - We already know Silva has Rampages number

HW
CroCop vs Fedor - Fedor would probably win again, hes probably the best fighter in MMA right now.
Sylvia vs NOG - I think Sylvia would get choked out very quickly n this fight.

So there you have it, if you break it down like this Pride would win easily. ITs too bad we will never see it, this would be an MMA fan's wet dream.

Agree 100 percent. Even with crocop Pride will take over the UFC. Fedor, Randleman, Hunt, and Nog have all beaten Crocop.

God I am so happy other people realize this.....PRIDEFC USA!!!!!!!
