Make sure that he is getting enough exercise first. Then if you decide that you can handle the extra responsibility, then go for it. Dogs are pack animals and seem to be happier in a group, this also includes you and your family.

If you get him a "friend" you will end up with two dogs that constantly chew things up. Your dog just needs plenty of exercise and your attention.

getting another dog hardly ever stops bad behavior in one dog. all you end up with is two destructive dogs. husky's are very energetic dogs. do you provide enough exercise and mental stimulation for your pup? i would get that under control before bringing another dog into the hosuehold.
