First, your brother is only 9 years old, and you have to treat him as a child which he is. He needs guidance and discipline. He needs someone to help him with a food chart. Don’t put him on a diet, but rather help him curve his bad eating habits.

Sometimes it is the parents that don’t provide good nutritious food, don’t prepare it, or they themselves don’t eat properly. Not to make them feed badly, but whatever the issues are he needs to be encouraged. Get a food chart from the internet for his age and size or see a doctor and get one.

Glad you are concerned and want to help him… Bless you.

if he's really big and overweight, you should tell a doctor and your parents because he has a chance of becoming obese. if you want him to be healthier dont make him go on a diet, just eat healthier and excersise. try eating fruits that are kind of sweet and taste good so he'll enjoy eating them and try playing frisbee outside or have a mile race or something. do something fun and healthy together so you can bond and he'll begin to think that excersising and eating right is fun and good for you! dont forget to be supportive. critisizing him wont help motivate him it'll just break down his self esteem. take things slowly. like go walk around the neighborhood in the morning and visit all his friends or visit some other people who live near you. just do some small things in the begining and move up as you go. like instead of walking around the neighborhood everyday, try jogging, then running, then sprinting! I hope this helps you and your brother! :]

I say give him rewards for the good things he does for his weight! Also limit the meals he can have in a day! Like 3 meals and 2 snacks or even just 1! Make a work out plan that he agrees with and will follow! maybe if he likes sports go play a sport with him, or if he likes music dance! There are many ways to lose weight while still having fun!

First of all do not inform him he is fats or say some thing to place him down...that's the worst feeling ever to get instructed that. inform him u care approximately him and do not desire to peer some thing going down to him and present to see and stroll with him. You men can do it as a group...he certainly would possibly not do it via himself. supply him a few constructive motivation! goodluck! :)

well, have you suggested to your parents that your brother needs help? encourage him to exercise by going walking with him. who prepares the food for him? tell them to cut the food down. let him eat cake as a reward for walking around the block a few times......your parents need to get real and deal with this problem. all the family could go walking together....get him to drink water to help fill him up...he needs to see a EFT - Emotional Freedom Tehcnique therapist/practitioner as he has emotional problems...the poor dear.....

Get him outside to play some sports with you and some friends. Hang a donut on a string and make him chase you for it.

if you have control of his food, limit his food source and either reduce it or replace it with better things. then maybe have some quality "bonding" time with him now and then that involves some kind of excersise.

unfortunately, you cannot "make" someone do something they don't want to do.

offer his help if he wants it. then let it go. for the sake of your relationship, let it go.
