Black hair, What color streaks should look nice on me?

I have layered black hair that reaches my shoulders and a little lower. I plan on getting streaks but i dont know what color would look nice. Please tell me your opinions.

Im not into funky colors or red sorry. But i just want something cute

I think a medium to dark brown color would look really nice.

Brownish-red streaks look nice because blonde with black has too much of a contrast and brown and black look too similar. The red make hair feel more vibrant, but do not make the red stand out over the brown, keep it at a oakish colour.

dark hair is really hard to get a nice color highlight in. However, if the hair stylist knows what she is doing it can be done. My daughter has very dark brown hair almost black, her hair looks good with blond highlights but it is too hard to maintain with the dark hair, roots are really bad. This time she went with a Carmel color and they look a lot better and she also did not have a lot put in just a few to lighten up her dark hair. So I would say with black hair try Carmel. But I have seen some people with dark hair with a white color highlight and it looks nice too. Very different. It would depend I would say on your complexion also, and your age and how daring you are. Good luck...

Dark red tones, Medium warm brown or a deep gold color. Do not go lighter than that because the contrast will be too much and look gaudy.

it all depends on your skin tone. but u should wear whatever color u feel comfortable with. personally i love blue streaks in black hair but that's just me. try hair spray or a rinse that way u can experiment before u go permanent.

you should get a nice honey color, dont get a light blonde because it will end up looking white with black hair, so i think you should get a nice honey color, like dirty blonde with a red tint =]

Defently subtle aurburn or red tone's, but if you want to be more funky go for pink or maybe cosmic blue. Good luck

I like this girl's black hair with highlights...it's drastic but really cute :P When you get highlights in black hair I think it is better to have them underneath the hair so it isn't so "look at me"...oh whatev this hair is "look at me" but I like it...

for highlights nothing to light try a honey color, but not bright blonde.
