Alright, just a quick word. I'm not judging God or anything. I just want to know what you think, that's all. No harm ment.

Maybe he was outlining the way to measure the next increment of time after the day while he was in the process of creating the world. He didn't need to rest. He just did.

Perhaps He wanted to create His universe using the Natural Laws which He established?

Why would He create many more Universes when the one Universe [uni = one] includes all things that were made (there is ONE universe].

Why did he need to rest?

He did NOT need to rest for His own sake.
He needed to rest as as an example for humans, knowing that they would need to rest one day in seven. He made them that way!

If you have eternity on your hands, creating a universe would be a nice little break. Why have a millisecond long work-week?

He didn't NEED to rest, but he just wanted to spend one free-day with his Creation.

You people make me laugh. Do you think that by these type of questions you might scare God. God is God and who are you to judge, especially God. You walk on dangerous ground

He didn't need to. This is the method he chose to create the universe. After he created it all he chose to take a day of rest

He's not very competent is my guess. From the look of things, he's probably new at it, still feeling things out. Honestly, I'd say he's given up on the whole idea by now, and gone off to try other stuff, like fly fishing or maybe stamp collecting. Hopefully he's better at those...

For the exact same reason that GOD could create a clown so scarey that he could scare himself at his own birthday party.
