I say, "Give 'em a chance!" We men have mucked it up long enough; maybe they'll do better. They certainly couldn't do any worse.

Look at the great female leaders in history - Indira Gandhi, Margaret Thatcher, Queen Victoria...just to name a few. All were very successful leaders.

Only, please---NOT Hilary. She's so left wing she won't even use "Rite Guard!"

Although I'm not American and wouldn't be able to vote anyway I think I'd like to see Clinton as first woman president. She has the experience and the strength needed to take America where it's never been before.
I don't know if this is the right time in history for a women to be elected though. Unfortunately with everything going on over seas I just don't think some countries would take a women seriously enough.

I would have absolutely no problem with a woman president, so long as she has the necessary political experience and qualifications for the job. Whether I would vote for a woman candidate or not would depend on whether I agreed with her platform or not.

Unfortunately, I cannot name any good woman candidates at this time, so I cannot say who I would vote for. Hillary would not get my vote for a number of reasons -- lack of experience, questions about her ability to deal with major international issues, and serious possible ethics problems to name a few. But I'm sure a well-qualified woman candidate will come along, and if she mounts a good campaign and addresses all of the issues she will have as good a chance of winning as any male candidate.

Female President for USA? There is nothing wrong with that.
If it is happening in the Third World why not in America.
American Women can be pioneers, too.

If I may, I will surely vote for Sen Hilary Clinton.

I would vote for oprah too. Black and woman, 2 prejudiced ppl groups in one shot for the president. I'm not so happy about having to pick one OR the other. I'd very much like to see a woman president.

I dont see a problem with a woman president, but shillary? NO WAY...I hope Ron Paul gets in! He supports America and our constitutional rights...personal liberty. Congressman Ron Paul...check him out, you probably have a computer nearby:) you should research what people vote for (on the congress website) not all the hype and BS the alphabet news spins for us...the dumbed -down masses. or even what some guy says on yahoo answers. Research and check things out yourself.

If she were qualified for the job, I'd be happy to vote for a woman as President. I can only think of two I think are qualified, though, and both of them are too smart to want the job.

Many other countries have had woman presidents or prime ministers already. There does not seem to be any problems with a female political leader, it's the competence and integrity that count.

Excellent idea!

But only if we can find someone who is free from anger, greed or ego. People make promises when they want votes but very soon the latent thieves of vices rear their ugly head.
It takes effort to become pure and worthy of holding an important job.But if one has the aim it will happen.
