She also has a tendency to hump my or my husband's arm. Is this normal behaviour?

Yes, that is normal behavior. Dogs of both sexes will "hump" but it is a dominance issue not a sexual one.
The females go into a heat season ususally twice a year about every six months beginning somewhere from about 9 to 14 months of age. If you are not a breeder you really should have her spayed and she is old enough now.

She will bleed when she is heat. I have a mini doxie as well and she is spayed and has been for years but still humps my other doxie who could care less.

at the vet they will spay your puppy for a small fee. I promise that if you are asking these kinds of questions you do not have enough experience to responsibly breed your dog

they will do that. i have a 3 year old dapple daschie and hell hump my arm. but then again, my daschie isn't fixed but soon will be
