However, I'd like to say that I've been many times to the Middle East - the Emirates and Saudi, etc on business and even speak Arabic, and have met a lot of people there and, strangely enough, I haven't found any man with a child bride there, despite having been invited to many a function where I met, literally, thousands of them!?!?

It might surprise you to know that I didn't find many people who had more than one wife!?!?

I would be very shocked!! Well, unless the "man" was a boy himself..but even that is weird. It is just a different lifestyle. Trust me, those Muslims would be more shocked to see a man with a husband!! God, what has our world come to? There was a time when child marriages were acceptable but that is not conducive to a modern society where our lifestyle and welfare of our children are not on the line. Progress with time.
