After telling my new cosmotologist my head was sensative
I hired a her. She left me with the strongest odor dye I have EVER smelt for over an hour! She left me unattended for the entire hour while she went to lunch! When she returned I told her to please take the dye out it was sizzling my scalp. When she took the dye out...I had blood everywhere. I later found out that my scalp was chemically burnt! I had open blisters and a raw scalp...all over my head! I have so many headaches and it is 5 months later! My questions are:

1. Can you get chemical poison from this?
2. Does anyone know about cosmotology injury laws?
3. Where should I sue? Civil or Small claims?
4. What would you do?
5. Got any advice?

Thanks for all responses and HELP.
Respectfully-
Creative :)

Why did you wait 5 months? That is the most aw full thing I've ever heard. that stylist needs to have her license taken away so that she never hurts anyone else. First I'd see a doctor. Then, call the state board of cosmetology.Call the better business bureau.Take pictures along with your docters account. All salons are required to have liability insurance for these things. Get a lawyer. I wouldn't waste my time in small claims court.

sorry to hear about your experience. I am a barber stylist and I have never heard of anything like that but I hope you took pics right after you had your hair done from there and before pics also. I would advise you to go to small claims court and make an appointment with a doctor about your scalp because most chemical burns that I know of dont last any longer than a few days and 5 months later is entirely to long to still have those syptoms. Hope I was of some assistance wish you the best of luck with that.

small claims court! You didnt pay did you???? I hope not! that is horrible! She obviously was an idiot cause I did cosmotology for a while and never even came close to a problem with that! I have left dye on my hair for and hour and a half and not had that problem! She really screwed up!

The shiny fluid would be serum. It is made by destroyed cells in the tissue and provides a antibacterial coating for the burn. It is best to let it dry, as wiping it off leaves the burn open for infection. Septic burns can get very nasty, and you don't want one on your head. Also, it is now recommended that you do not put ice on your burns - far from healing them, they can cause further damage to the wound through cold burns. It is best to run the burn under cool water for a few minutes every day. I would get some antibacterial cream to put on it, if I were you. Don't let it become infected.

you should sue in small claims because an hour is way to long for die and if they where licensed they would know that
