Im sorry that you are depressed. I was for 15 years. Do your BEST to get moving when you're feeling like this. Do something you really enjoy, listen to music, sing, watch a funny movie, have a friend over, anything to get your mind distracted. If you are overly tired you may be deficient in some vitamins and Iron, get some tests done to rule out fatigue due to anaemia or any other physical illness. I tried everything for years, group therapy, antidepressants, you name it.... until I discovered a natural aminoacid called 5htp, it was my miracle cure, it naturally makes your body creat seratonin. Try it, please, it has no contradictions, they sell it at any natural food store, speak to someone, help yourself, you don't need to be depressed, it's not your fault....blessings

I am doing that now and when that happens I go to my doctor to get help in the form of anti-depressants.You sleep to escape life with all that seems depressing to you. Lucky for you I guess, that you did not turn to drugs, alcohol or other addictions.I have not heard where too much sleep can harm you, but it does make you more depressed. When depression sets in you feel helpless, and at times maybe even useless. But the truth is that you are here for a reason.A buddist monk once said that our problems add colour to our lives , add challenges and give us a sense of purpose.Life with no problems would be meaningless. You should see your family doctor and ask him if you should see a psychologist or a psychiatrist.Get help now while you can.You are looking for help here so that means you know you have a problem and need help.Look up a crisis line phone number if you feel that way.I hope this helps . Also you could join a self-help or support group and you will find that you are not alone in your illness. Many, many people suffer from depression and anxiety.
God Bless and I will say a prayer for you!!!!1

I have no medical or professional reason but I think it's just our way to escape the harshness that reality presents to us. When we sleep, we don't have to worry about anything; we let our mind wander. We are carefree, forgetting the troubles in our life. I guess it's normal to do this. Who wouldn't want to escape pain and grief? But don't let this habit get to you. If it becomes too frequent, do something about it. We can't run from our problems forever. Try changing your diet or facing your problems. Exercising helps a lot. Just don't succumb to depression. Things will brighten up soon. So wake up and face the new day with hope.

It's just your body's reaction to depression. It's normal but not good for you. Try exercising or working your brain somehow when you're depressed. The best way is to listen to music and talk to someone you can trust. It won't only keep you busy but help you cope with it better and decrease your chances of easily getting depressed again.

it is because your stress level is up and you feel like you have rocks on top of you. something is bothering you and you need to talk about it. it may also be that depression affects the whole body. you feel real physical pain and the stress of the depression weighs you down. you may also have had a really stressful week and that's your body's way of telling you to slow down..
