I see that a lot of people have said that it's a dog. That is absolutely NOT true. Remember, a dog's tongue is not only its washcloth but also it's toilet paper! Dogs have just as much bacteria in their mouth as any other animal. I work in a hospital lab and sometimes I can even smell and recognize specific bacteria in dog's mouths that causes urinary tract infections (Klebsiella pneumoniae to be exact) in humans. I'd have to agree that after people clean their mouths by brushing their teeth or whatever that they have the cleanest mouths.

Cleanest Mouth In The World

Dog's have the cleanest mouth's for themselves such as any other species does, our mouth's are clean to what are body is able to fight. All mouth's have bacteria but depending on the immunity to the bacteria...... it does no harm to the host because the host of that specific bacteria has an immunity to it. So A dog's mouth has more bacteria in it than any other animal..... however it is irrelevant to the dog that they do because they are immune to the bacteria's........ however we are not immune to those bacteria which means the mouth's of dog's are not clean if that were the case so is the dogs butt hole. If your going to eat after your dog you may as well eat off of their ***. My mouth is the cleanest for me as my body is immune to the bacteria that is in it. Someone could kiss another person and the other person could get a sore on the lip....... because this person is not as immune to the bacteria as the other person. Common sense people. get some...... Dog's are lovable yes, but in fact are the most disgusting unclean animals in history. they eat poop and even poop where they sleep so not only are they disgusting they are even proven to be the dumbest animal in history. They don't do things out of intelligence when humans demand something of them..... they do it to get a treat or some type of reward....... take a house dog and leave it in the wilderness for a month alone and it will die, a human wont. wild animals wont cats wont, but a dog wont have ANY natural instincts of survival because they are only as clean and as smart as the owner who they depend own.

The dog having the cleanest mouth is actually a myth. They eat their own feces for example. People think because they lick the cuts of their pup or something, that they're clean but they aren't. Personally, I think my dog's breath smells horrible. There's plenty of bacteria in it.

The clean rumor probably came about because you're unlikely to pass along germs between a dog and human since they're different species. You're more likely to get a virus kissing another human than a dog just because the viruses are transmittable between humans.

So to answer the question, I have no idea. I'd say it may be a human's after we brush our teeth.

I don't think it is really known. There is bacteria in the mouths of everything, even people. If you are referring to the statement that dogs have clean mouths, it just a myth. Dogs have more bacteria in their mouths than people, but much of the bacteria is species specific.

To people who thinks that a dogs mouth is cleanest, Please check your facts, I would say the cleanest is when you go to the dentist and get your mouth done. then that means YOU have the cleanest mouth.

I would think ocean fish would have real clean mouths. The bacteria in your mouth help start digestion of food and helps kill other harmful germs that may contact your mouth. There is also a lot of beneficial bacteria in your nose.
