Jehovah specifically condemns us from adding to or taking away from His word. (Deuteronomy) Look at any Bible @ the word LORD. Notice it's all in CAPS. This is because God's name, Jehovah, was taken out. In any old KJV though, there are a few scriptures that still have is name. But now the newly printed KJV's have completely taken it out. It's just the way Satan works to mislead pple.

Why God's name is not in most of the Bible? It is because Satan being the ruler of this world has misled the whole inhabited earth not to use God's name. Satan himself when addressing God, he never used God's name. Why? Because he does not want people to know God and worship God (acceptably) or get close to God. Remember Satan always refer to God as God, he never wanted to give God glory by using God's name. You can see why vast majority of people who doesn't have the accurate knowledge of the Bible refuse to use God's name. People do not know how precious and valuable it is to call God by his name.
You can look up God's personal name in the old King James Version, Exodus 6:3; Psalms 83:18; Isaiah 12:2; 26:4.

What are you referring to? That depends on the translation... and the original ... There are many different names used for God in the Bible.

I asked someone who used to translate Bibles into different languages this same question. She said that the information that they have about the original language keeps getting more detailed so it is incorporated into the newer translations.

Rev 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

They don't contain God's name because of an old jewish trdition that started a little after jesus time that made it taboo to use the name Jehovah or Yaweh.
