Depending on which side of the park your talking about. on the west side, its good. east side is spanish harlem. My wife and I used to live on 108th and 1st in spanish harlem. It was scary at times but if your street wise your fine.

The rivarly between New York and Boston started when the Babe was traded to the Yankees from Boston. The rivarly was never as strong after that. Since then, the "curse" predicted that the Red Sox would never win a World Series again, brawls and bench clearing arguements, and many altercations between fans and players. The Red Sox and Yankees rivarly has heated up over the years. Sports Illustrated named it the most intense rivarly of any teams in any sports. Its very entertaining and very exciting. You never know what to expect.

These areas are getting better and better...you must be street smart, but really these places are improving and should be a fine place to live. If you speak spanish, that's a big plus!!

Just remember that often, you get what you pay for...it's best to look for a rental outside of a public housing 'project' for better safety. Good luck, and welcome!

It's not a bad area at all. If you can get a decent price there, definitely take it.

depends, what avenue you're on. The neighborhoods are getting better, west side is better than east side if your that way uptown.
