I think saying it's "Satan's Religion" is wrong!?!?

For those who lump Christianity with Islam and violence, I think they need to understand that Christianity does not subscribe to the Old Testament, but to the New Testament, where the only "violence" is that of Christs being crucified and the persecutions of the Christians!?!?

Islam did have it's base in War and Hate is undeniable; but, it was the result of the persecution of Mohammad by the Jewish tribe to which he belonged, who condemned him to the same fate as that of his Hero - Jesus Christ!?!?

I think all people need to know, in all fairness that Mohammad worshipped Jesus so much that he couldn't bring himself to accept that his Hero could easily be crucified and hence promoted the idea that Jesus was not really crucified but it was Judas who was transformed to His likeness and thus, paid for his treachery!?!?

People also need to know that, in fact, in the Court of God [or Allah, if you please], Isa [Jesus] sits to Gods right [ the place of Honor ] while Musa[Moses] sits on His left, in the inferior position; while Mohammad, himslef, is behind Gabriel !?!?

While the birth of Islam was undoubtedly in War and Hate for the Jews, it's high time that everybody knew that Mohammad considered himself a True Christian and wasn't their enemy!?!?

I am not the Champion of the Muslims, as you all very well know, but, I think we should be fair and recognize the facts for what they are!?!?

Mustafa is right that the Meccans agreed to convert to Islam and even gave Mohammad the teenage Maimuna as a wife to avoid the slaughter; but then, has he forgotten that Mohammad later confiscated all the belongings of the remaining beni al Quraish and literally slaughtered 900 of the old and invalids and sold the few good, young ones as slaves????

You notice that some people get defensive about islam & try to place moral equivalence on the evil acts of some Christians to their LEADER muhammad?

It's like you say, they can't accept it. Instead of saying "yes, islam was founded on violence, caravan robbing, assassination and intolerance" (all facts), they immediately attack another religion such as Christianity or Judaism.
I'm not a Christian, so I don't care what they say about Christianity, but for the record, these apologists are liars. If you look at the example of Jesus, he was a great and peaceful man who did not have sex with little girls. Different followers of his have made a lot of mistakes over the years, but the point is Jesus himself actually set a very good example.

On the other hand, Muhammad, the FOUNDER and CREATOR of islam was not peaceful in any way shape or form. He set a horrible example. Christians were in the stone ages during the era of the crusades, but they have evolved since then. Muslims are still in the stone ages and they are causing all the major conflicts on the planet TODAY. By the word TODAY, i'm not talking about the PAST. I'm talking about RIGHT NOW and Islam is a huge problem. It needs to evolve ASAP but the problem may be in a flawed construction. Christians at least have a good example to follow. People like Bin Laden, the 9/11 terrorists, al Zarqawi, Moqtada al Sadr are all following the example of Muhammad.

Both muslims and christians have bloody pasts. What has tht got to do with now? christians today are not murdering innocent people in the name of Christ.

Both should stop taking their holy book and proving that God/Allah was warlike. Has nothing to do with what's going on in the world today. The Koran, like the O.T. is largely history and I suspect a lot of Mohammed's commands had to do with what was going on in Arabia at the time. Some muslims think the violence he taught applies today and some don't.

I am afraid you have been fed some misinformation. Firstly, the majority of conflicts the world has seen has had some element of religion intertwined. So to point a finger at Islam would be completely ignoring the atrocities committed in the name Christianity and many other religions. Thus I would encourage you to educate yourself, and yourself means not generating a world view through the media, because it sounds a great deal as if you are confusing Extremist Islam with Islam - and the two are very very different.

I am not a proponent of the Islamic faith by any means, but most religions were founded through violence. If not founded, they were expanded through violence. Don't forget the Crusades. Nobody wants to accept a violent history in their religion, its normal. It does not make muslims ignorant, just normal.

When Mohammad conquered Mecca there was no fighting... if you read then you would know the humbleness of the Muslims when they went inside Mecca... Ignorance its common, get knowledge and then you'll see...
The Quraish (tribe from Mecca) kept attacking the Muslims, with the Jews, and other tribes... not shore about the Christians, untill they gave up, because they realized what was happening, the truth was not to be stopped... there is 1 God and the Messenger is Mohammad... basically the Muslims only defended themselves

It's equally true that when the Israelites came to the Promised Land they preceeded to slaughter or enslave the peoples that were already there. I don't defend Islam but they don't have a monopoly on violence and intolerance.
