accordin to my biology teacher, there is a term for this phenomenom ... can u help me out plz?

Colorless plants are called etiolated.

Maybe what your biology teacher is trying to say is that keeping plants in the dark is part of an experiment frequently done by botanists to determine photosynthesis and show the effects of lack of light to the plant's metabolism.

You will see that if you put the plant back in sunlight it will recover in a quite spectacular manner.

don't try to kep in the dark because plants need sunlight every day
