There many grades of desperation.

But the muslims will take the following steps.

Step 1 - No, it is a pack of lies! Prove it!

and so you prove it by quoting them...

Step 2 - These texts do not exist, its mis-translated!

and so you show them the sources.

Step 3 - The author is not recognised! We only believe in q'uran!

and so you quote them the q'uran.

Step 4 - You have taken it out of context!

and so you tell them the q'uran has NO CONTEXT to begin with.

Step 5 - This is the REAL context!

and so you ask them to PROVE that it is so.

Step 6 - Start cursing you to force you to agree with them.

and so you ask them to calm down and counter your argument.

Step 6 - You are a hate monger! ooooh, allah, please help us to curse this hate monger.

Spend less time on this site. I have yet to see a productive spiritual or religious debate on Yahoo Answers. There's intelligent conversation to be had, but the internet is kind of a desert as far as finding that goes.

Things seem to be getting more "heated" not necessarily desperate on all issues the past couple years. Where will that lead us? I can't say just yet.

More & more desparate?

YES, that is my take too. Greater & greater polarization of views.
