Maybe he has an infection. Did you pull the foreskin down and look for any signs of this? I'd take him to the doc as soon as you can. Don't want to mess with infected p.p.'s

This sounds like the youngster has an infestion from dried urine and fluff that has collected under the fold of skin. Take him to the doctor and have thast check and attened to and no dount the good doctor will tell you how to wash the childs tool. Circumsized or not is your choice, in the very ancient days it was a sing for the spirits to know who was of a religious beleif and who wouldbe permitted to the higher levels of spirit life after death. What you feel as the parent is what sets the child up in the future and for the infection to be happening maybe a hint that he should be trimmed. It is your choice as the parent. On the other hand there maybe an internal infection or disorder that hasn't yet caused any pain. But that area leads into the body and can cause more serious problems. The other thing is that some one has played about with him by pushing something into the opening and he feels frightend to tell you about it. Look at all avenues and love him heaps regardless of what happend. Hope I've helped Teema

It sounds like he has an infection which is common when boys aren't circumcised and are too young to understand proper hygiene of that area. You need to take him to the doc to get it checked and decide on having him circumcised or properly cleaning it for him until he is old enough to do it for himself. I don't know if this was a religious choice or a money thing but it's my opinion that circumcision should be done at birth to avoid infection, you can't expect a boy under the age of 13 to follow proper hygiene let alone a 3 year old. Just take him to the doc at least.

My first guesses would be a) its not cleaned properly b) he plays with it and makes it sore or c) he has sensitive skin. If none of these apply, go to a doc, pain and redness are signs of infection.

I would definitely see the pediatrician...he will best be able to assess what could be the problem, and what the fastest route to have it taken care of is (if it actually ends up needing ANYTHING done)
Good Luck

It could be infected. My friend had to get her son circumcised when he was five because no matter what she did he kept getting infections.

I think you need to take him to a pediatrician and get checked out.
it could be something serious. I think you and your son will fill better if you go to the doctor to make sure that everything is alright.
BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY.
