If a U.S. citizen would forge legal documents, or steal someones identity, they would surely face a lengthly prison sentence. Why should "illegals" be able to stay, after they have proven they are nothing more than criminals?
Haters don't need to reply, I'm just stating facts. I truly want your opinions, regarding this matter.

These "illegals" are not taking jobs U.S. citizen don't want to do. they are taking jobs away from U.S. citizens. If a union contractor has to pay all the over-head of running a business, dues, unemployment insurance, etc. , how is he suppose to compete with a bunch of "illegals" who will under cut his bid, because they can. And hey it happens all the time.

Hry Poison Ivory- My family came here LEGALLY, swore their Declaration to the U.S., and they all have legal status. They did not forge documents or steal anyones identity. Do you even understand the question?

Poison Ivory keep on displaying your ignorance. How do you know I'm not from South America or Central American, wouldn't that make me a "Native American".You have so much to learn little girl. Again the question is in regard to "Illegal Immigrants".

I am in agreement with you with regard to the importance of the rule of law. The laws on the books should be applied and enforced equally to everybody. Any time people are allowed to break the law with impunity, it weakens the social fabric that makes our society functional. If we want to decide to dramatically increase legal immigration, then fine, but don't "catch and release" illegal aliens. Jail the ones that belong in jail, and deport the ones that are here illegally. Some will say, "You can't deport 13 million people!" It doesn't have to be done all at once, as long as there are more leaving than coming. Once we start enforcing the laws, the flow into the country will start to slow down, then maybe over ten or fifteen years, a lot of progress could be made.

I lift up my glass to you, CHEERS! YES, you make some valid points. I am a contractor and I deal with this BULLS**T a lot. I give fair bids and I have great references, but a lot of times I don't get the job. I'll drive by the job site, and all I see is "Illegals" doing the job I put a bid in for. I don't care how long it takes, but they all got to GO. My family also immigrated to this country, the LEGAL way! Don't listen to "poison ivy" the chick cleary doesn't know what she is talking about. Ha Ha about the geography lesson, I think she still doesn't get it. It's good you stood up for yourself, you cleary do know what you are talking about. And the other guy with the lengthly proposal, sounds like he is quoting BUSH.

Thank you! Finally someone who understands. If you go to any other country they would punish you for all the things that illegal immigrants are doing in America. I have seen obviously illegal immigrants walk into the social security office, show no form of I.D or birth certificate and walk out with a brand spanking new social security card... in which they use to steal from us. It really irks me. They should be caught, put in jail and deported back to their homeland where they can get the correct documents and do it the right way. THE LEGAL WAY!

Well, this is not all that easy. There are millions of illegal immigrants here and mass deportation is just physically impossible task to undertake. Next issue is that there are lots of mixed families, where some members are legal and some not. Forcefully breaking families is not something, which humane society would do. Problem is not that these people are marked illegal, but they are hired illegally. The illegal employers, who get the benefits of cheap labor have to pay the price, not the poor people, who come here to get some food. Illegal cheap work became vital part of our economy; lots of industries depend on this. It will take time to change. Bottom line is you can not just cut the problem out, there needs to be a plan. See below:
I believe the solution is:
1.Build the wall and lock the border. There should not be any new people coming in without appropriate status.
2.Set the timeframe (1 year) for illegal immigrants to come out of the shadow and get registered. Once registered they get temporary work status and have to obey the laws if the want some possibility to stay here. They have to work legally now.
3.In a year everyone, who cannot produce any registration papers needs to be deported without delay.
4.Government will have to go and review each registered case individually and make a decision if this person is to stay or go. This process may take years, but the people here will be on temporary status.
5.“Stay” cases will be required to pay penalties and taxes for all the years they were working illegally. After the payment is received and all the records are checked, this person should get a green card. “Stay” cases for me are either people, who can work and make money to support them or people, who will get evidence of support from other worker. People on support will be prohibited from getting any government benefits (since they never contributed) and will have to rely only on the supporting worker. If the source of support is gone, these people have to be deported.
Example: A construction worker – Jose - he can work, contribute to the economy and he should stay here. His old mom. She gets support from her son - Jose. Jose has to demonstrate that he has enough income to support her here and pay for her medical insurance.
6.“Go” cases are – criminals, people unable to get work and without any support. “Go” cases are going immediately and cannot come back due closed border.
I would be really interested in any comments on this plan.

I don't even know why they're excused of everything they do. If a citizen killed someone, they'd go to prison. If a citizen raped someone, they'd go to prison. If a citizen sold drugs to someone, they'd go to prison. Why? Because those are all illegal. So are those illegal immigrants. Why can't the government realize this? I don't understand how an illegal alien living in the U.S. gets treated so much better than an actual citizen of the U.S.

Yes, they are criminals and should not be allowed to stay here. I get so sick and tired of hearing them say that they are not breaking the law, they just want a better life. I don't understand the logic of that! I am also tired of seeing them get a slap on the wrist and then donations of food and money from churches and other organizations.
I also think that companies that hire illegals should be prosecuted harshly.

All illegal immigrants (aliens as dubbed by the law) are criminals and should not be allowed to stay in the country expect in prison or in prison type work camps where they can be closely monitored and controlled and made to pay restitution for their crimes.
The world is finally waking up to the illegal immigration issue. Even Russia is cracking down on its 12 million illegal immigrants.

Yes & No. Not all illegals have stolen the documents you speak of. I, too, am a victim of identity theft, so I think I know where you are going with this, because I once thought as you do, but it is a very complex issue that has to be dealt with slowly in order to keep it from coming back in our faces. 12 million people is a lot to deal with & this is gonna take years to sort out & not everyone is going to like the outcome. Many illegals are also victims of immigration "lawyers" who are just cons who take thousands of dollars from the person entering the U.S. & give them papers that are phoney. Some know this is wrong, while others really do believe that they are dealing with a reputable agency that is authorized to give them their papers. These are the people who are hurt the most because they have been in the U.S. for years & have worked hard, only to find out that their social security cards are fake & they cannot get a tax refund! It's a mess. If they fraudulently get bank accounts & credit cards & don't pay, then they should be dealt with as a criminal if it can be proven, but that's the biggest problem...proving it! I wish it was as easy as just kicking someone out, but it ain't! First, we gotta build the prisons to hold all these people who really are criminals & deport them first. The murderers, child molesters, & rapists should get first priority, don't ya think?

They are criminals. They know that just as well as we do.
There's absolutely no reason as to why we should let them get away with being here illegally. But thanks to all of the idiots who pull the "WELL, AT LEAST THEY DO THE WORK THAT YOU STUPID AMERICAN CITIZENS ARE TOO INDOLENT TO DO." crap, the immigrants will never go away. It's an irritating shame.

I agree. What I can't understand is that so many people,Americans included, think it is ok that they are using a fake social security number. They will justify it by saying, well, they are paying taxes. That number could be someones who's entire life could be changed because of this criminal act.Why do they think that is ok.
