I guess I should have put more details to it...we have talked about having a relationship way before sex....but when we had sex for the first time I guess I got nervous because he wanted to take it slow...meaning make sure that we will last...hopefully he want change his mind.

Just be honest, its the only way really. Tell him exactly what you wrote in your question, that you`re looking for something else. Tell him that he is a really good friend of yours and that you want it to stay that way, but that you cant keep sleeping with him because you're looking for something more.
He`ll understand for sure, if not, hes not a real friend.

The best way is to be honest and straight-forward. It will save you a lot of other problems in the long-run. Let him know how much you value his friendship and how you are interested in possibly forming a relationship with him. Ask him what he thinks about it and if he says he's not ready, then thank him for being truthful. Assure him that you two would continue your friendship. With or without the sex is up to you, but I don't recommend it. Be patient if he's not ready to commit to the another level. You can't force something like that.......it's best when it happens naturally. Then, it was meant ....

first of all if you wanted a relationship with this guy you should not have slept with him.... yet. you should have gotten emotionally closer to him first and started it that way. but now since you did have sex with him you can just let him know that you want to have a relationship witrh him and not a sexual one. to do this you would need to sit down with him and just tell him what you told all of us on yahoo answers. that you want it to be more than just sexual. you want it to be from the heart as well.
good luck on that and i hope this advice proves helpful.

Personaly i think u should start by telling him how much his friendship means to u and then maybe go on about y u think ur relationship is more tha just friendship.
And if u seriously think he is not ready wait for the rite tym to come. :-)

Just tell him that you feel like things got carried away between the two of you and you want to keep things on a friend level.

It's still not to late to let him know what you want. I would do it soon before he gets the wrong idea.
