Four years ago, I was in the Navy, and when I came home on leave I met this girl. We got together, but It wasn't good. She's needy, I'm standoffish. I went back to my duty station, and I didn't want to have a long distance relationship. She said she found someone, and that was it. Two years ago, I got out of the Navy, and she dropped by bible study twice. First to say hi, second to introduce us to her boyfriend.

Out of the blue, I got a text message asking about church service, and she started coming back to church, and asking me to walk her around like we never broke up.

I'm not getting any younger, and the attention is nice, but this is just a little creepy. Why does she still have my number after four years? Why does she expect me to walk her around? We broke up for a reason, did she forget that? Should I give her the chance, or am I just encouraging a psycho stalker?

You have to be encouraging her in some manner or she wouldn't have gotten as far as she has with you this time. It sounds as if you like the ego polishing, but could actually care less about the person.

Have you ever heard about leading a person on...? I suggest you examine your own conscience to see exactly what YOUR motivations are towards her. If you aren't interested then stop leading her on.

I think that it is worth giving her a chance
I'm not really seeing psycho signs
If you don't like the situation after giving it a try
you can always end it
there isn't too much to lose!
Good luck :]

the thing is if she was needy back then and you were standoffish...did any of that really change??? If it didn't work once, why would it work now? You need to ask yourself.

Bluntly ask her what her intentions are. Don't try to second guess them.
