Having faith in something because you read it, with no physical or observable proof, is blind faith.

Oh really? Ever read a history book? Do you believe what they say? If you do, that's blind faith, it's only in a book.

Faith in God is not blind because one believes His word. On the contrary, it is a reasoned and studied faith, that is joined by the ongoing experience of His word being proven true, time and time again. The kind of "evidence" God gives those who come to Him is much different than the evidence of this world. And more sure, by the way.

There is no where in the Bible that it says we are to have blind faith. We have eyes in the heart to see the truth about Jesus Christ. Blind faith is placed in things that may or may not be there- God is there. Do you have faith that oxygen is in the air? You cannot see that but you believe that it is.

God does not require 'blind faith'. I did not believe anything at first, but now my faith is really really strong, after witnessing many miracles in my own life and in others.

On the contrary, God require you to open your eyes - to be able to see the miracles that happen everyday
May God be with you

In response to your additional details:

Not according to God. He expects you to believe what He has told you in His written word. To reject what He has said is the same as calling Him a liar. To accept the testimony of His Son Jesus Christ which is recorded in the Holy Bible is "seeing" with spiritual eyes. This is what God requires from every person. To believe what the Bible says about Jesus is not the same thing as "blind" faith. Blind faith has no basis, that's why it is "blind." Faith in God's holy word is faith that is based upon something. Faith that is based upon the Bible is faith that is based upon a reliable and proven source.

The religion of Evolution requires blind faith since you cannot see what happened in the past and requires FAR more faith than Creation.

There is no " blind " faith, just faith. When a father tells his toddler for example to jump from the side of the pool into his father's arms in the water, the toddler is not doing it blindly. He sees the open arms of his father and trusts that his father will catch him. He doesn't doubt his father's love or ability to do it. The child jumps in faith knowing that his father is true to catch him.

Blind faith is not found anywhere in the Bible....

Who told you that....

God only speaks about "faith". not blind faith...

satan is crafty.... he will use things like adding or taking away one letter or one word from the Bible and trick people into thinking that loving and living for God is too hard and unreasonable..

Jesus said, "take my yoke upon you and learn of me, for my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

It is written in the Bible that "the way is so plain that a fool can't error".

He knew that people wouldn't be able to follow with only blind faith, so he gave us eyes so we could see the works of God all around us.

GOD is not a demanding God or a dictating God. He gives one the option of having faith and believing in him or choosing to go astray. This is just another example of him giving us a choice!!!
