You would need 15 cups of flour. There's three times more flour than sugar in the original recipe; that ratio should remain constant.

You made a big mistake :) You're going to have one heck of a lot of cookies.

OK, your gonna be just fine, just follow my lead. In order to get this right to the measure, you are going to add another 1/4 cup of sugar and then 15 3/4 cups of flour. (Yes I said 15 3/4 cups!) . What you have done is made the recipe x 7. Your also going to have to times ALL THE OTHER INGREDIENTS BY 7 ALSO. (i.e if it calls for 1 egg, then you need 7 eggs). If you have any more problems or have any questions, please feel free to contact me at jerseyshorechef1@yahoo.com. GOOD BAKING!!

9 cups flour/ 3 cups sugar*5 cups sugar = 15 cups of flour

or .75 cups sugar : 2.25 cups flour = 1 cup of sugar : 3 cups flour
so basically, for every cup of sugar,it takes 3 cups of flour

15 cups of flour is the correct answer and here's the proof:
The correct way to convert any recipe is to place the new yield 5.0 C
over the old yield .75 C
divide
The resulting number will be what's called a conversion factor
you will then multiply all of the ingredients by that number
So..
5/.75 = 6.66 CF
6.66 CF *2.25 C = 14.99 C
