Landings - Usually you just bounce lightly in your seat as you touch down. The most similar thing I can relate it to is when you go over a small dip in the road in your car. Your tail doesn't leave the seat, but you sink a little deeper into it for a second.
Turbulence - Same as a touchdown but less gentle.
Take Off - Like you're moving very quickly, and then suddenly you stop (that's when the plane actually leaves the ground).
Happy flying!

Easy, just close your eyes and imagine you are in a car going down the road (the engines will rev), you are on a normal road (few small bumps) then you get to the brand new pavement (no bumps)(you will hear a whining noise and clunking sound as the landing gear close), this is the takeoff. Your ears will build up pressure while going up, just yawn or burp to equalize the pressure. Normal turbulence will feel like small to medium bumps in the "road" which is normal. Landings are the reverse of takeoffs. I suggest taking a Walkman or cd player with you favorite music to listen to on the first few trips you make.

Turbulence is the only part that is disconcerting. It feels like the plane is kinda bumping around in the air.
Personally I think takeoff is fun and landings feel like a bump when the wheels first touch the ground.

I'm not sure how it feels like to ride ON an airplane. However riding IN an airplane has become a fact of daily life for many travellers. You should be fine unless you have problems with changing air pressure, constant background noise and stuffy air.
Drink lots of water, get up to stretch once every few hours (walk to the bathroom) and use a wet towel to wipe yourself down every once in a while

Landings/Takeoffs feel like you are in car going very fast.
Turbulence is like being on a rollercoaster when you get whipped around up and down.
While youre mid flight its usually just boring and kind of cramped.

99% of all flights are pretty smooth. I have been on a few with more noticeable turbulence. but it feels like you are going over a bumpy road.
