All dogs are born with dew claws. They are cut off usually by the breeder within 3 days after birth.
They are cut off to keep them from being ripped off while hunting in the brush.
While out look at most of the sporting and working dogs have them removed.

all dogs have them they are all born with them just some dogs have them removed when they are a few days old. our beagle has them and our dobie doesnt we both of them
