It is fun and kind a secret place to be. Be a good mom and help your 3 yr old build a fort under the table, put a big sheet over it and some pillows under to be comfy and then crawl under there with them. Then you will see how cool it is! And by the way thanks for the 2 points I just made it to level 4!!! YAHOO!

Hiding under tables is like going to a magic place where the imagination can run wild. I remember doing this as a child. For me, that was 45 years ago. I now have a table from my parents that still has all sorts of crayon art on the underside of the table that was put there by me and my sister.

Privacy. Is he or she potty trained?? A lot of times kids do that to have a BM in private. Some kids just like the smaller space and enjoy 'hiding'. Same reason kids hide in clothing racks... makes no sense to us, but they love it. Embrace it, and if they are 15 and still hiding out under tables, then worry!

Its the best place to play! It could be a house, a shelter, a treehouse, a spaceship. I can still remember under my parents large wood dinning room table. The legs were connected by a wide board and the "ends" of the boards were engraved humps. It was my car, the humps were the steering wheels and my toys I lined up behind me as passangers. If my mom had a table cloth on it was a tent!

I bet he/she would just LOVE a LARGE box! You can draw and colour on those!
