You don't have to, but they are really nice. She may smell more if she doesn't.
Don't think much of it, because she wears a pad. Most do even if they wear tampons.
Maybe this certain someone is you? Don't be embarassed to admit it. It's something 50% or so of the population has.

Historically, women menstruated in holes (really--in many cultures it was thought of as a cursed period of time and women dug holes to bleed into), wads of cloth, sponges, and now, pads and tampons. Some people, even females who aren't virgins, just aren't comfortable with putting something foreign inside of them and want to use a pad. While it can be inconvenient for wearing certain clothes or swimming, it is what she feels comfortable with to just use a pad. I wouldn't think anything of it unless she isn't using a pad--just bleeding onto clothing. That's a bigger thing. But, it's a bigger thing for her. Unless it affects you directly (your girlfriend is bleeding onto your couch, car seat, etc.) that's her thing and not your business. If you just heard that the particular someone doesn't use a feminine care product, that's her deal, not yours.

Yes, it's called using pads instead. I know women who have gone their entire lives without using a tampon. However, if you're talking about not using any sort of menstruation product, you can still do it, it's just messy. That's the only reason to use a pad or tampon. Not using one means you get blood everywhere.
It sounds like you might need to attend high school health class, though.

Yeah, you can were pads. There is an insert that is NOT a tampons that you can wear for 12 hrs. If she has a light period, she can wear panty liners.
My questions is, how you know something THIS personal about her hygiene? No, on second thought, don't answer that.

I just started wearing tampons like a few months ago....and i've had my period for 9 years now...they were never comfortable for me. I know one person, she has at least 4 kids, and she told me that she finds tampons very uncomfrotable, she's in her late 30's early 40's.
You shouldn't think anything of this. She can just be wearing tampons. Not everyone wears tampons.

I don't use tampons either. I use pads, and disposable underwear (the only time I wear the disposables is during that time of the month)

Since honestly it is none of your business, you don't need to think anything about it. As long as she is taking care of it with or without tampons, it really isn't an issue. Some women think they are uncomfortable and their are risks (although they are very slim risks) involved with this. So, don't worry about it.

If she uses maxi pads then that OK.
If she smells strong tell her cause you love her if shes your girlfriend get close to her and tell her in a real low voice make it recognizable to her that you're not trying to embarrass her in front of everyone.

Sometimes tampons can cause all kinds of problems. That is a very immature question. Sorry.
