when i was born my parents didn't give me a middle name so now i want to add a middle name to my name..........how would i do this??

In most cases you have to go to the county records building for your area. You fill out a form and it's done.

You can do it by court order. In other words, you go to the court and tell them the name you want to add. But why go through all this bureaucracy?

you would have to request for a name change from your state capitol or birth/death certificate agency, usually theres a fee... i kno theres a 15 maybe went up to 25 dollar fee to process the request and change it...

you need to get this letter notarized and witnessed
you can possibly get the form online, search on your state website or online for name change forms...

you have to go to court to get it changed.the judge will need to know why(are you trying to escape crediters or hiding from the law or just dont like your name for example) if your reason is valid then it must be published in the paper for i think 4 weeks to see if there is any problems(see example)then it will be granted.then you have to get new social security card,drivers license,credit cards,notify insurance,post office etc. its just not worth it usually.
