I can't dance. I've tried, but it just doesn't come natural to me, and I usually listen to music more for the lyrics than the rhythm. I think my dancing ineptitude blew my chances with a few girls before we even really got a chance to know each other, and I was just wondering how important is it to girls in general that a guy be able to dance?

I recently read an article on this. It said it is supposed to help you with the ladies...something about struttin' your stuff and whatnot.
Personally, I think it's a great skill to have when your dating, and once your in a LTR or married, it sees little use.
As the above poster said...have a steady job, be yourself, hopefully a bit funny, and things should work out.
I would say that if you blew a chance with a girl just because you could not dance, then you problably don't want to be with that person anyway. If she liked you, she's be glad you made the effort.

The truth is my friend, we women use how well a man dance to tell how well he is in bed. I am sorry, it might sound shallow but it is true. That mean you sould stop trying to pick up a girl @ a club and go some where else on a first date so that they can know u better as a person first b4 they find out u cant dance.

All depends on each individual girl. A club hopping party girl would say the ability to dance is very important, A studious serious minded gal would probably put a low priority on dancing ability.

In the long run, I think that for many people, it hardly matters at all.
But if your trying to pick up girls at a club or something
where the first judgment is on dancing a lot,
then its probably pretty important
Outside of that, I can't see too many women being really thrown off by that
It even has potential to be cute
Maybe she could teach you! lol

Well, I don't think it's all that important, but I've always wanted to dance a sorta soft dirty dance at my wedding, one that was rehearsed and stuff, I think that would really be cool. Other than that, guys mainly dance in bars when they're really drunk.

If you can't dance it's better just to watch. Have you tried lessons?
If you're a great guy a smart girl won't care if you can dance or not.

A job is more important, since you need money to eat. Then again, if dancing is your job, it's important.
