What does it mean when a guy you know, but not very well, but know he is attracted to you. Tells you that he loves you, but then says he was only joking?? your opinion wanted!

by the way after he said that i sed you can't u hardly know me. and thats when he replied he was only joking. just thougth id add that incase it makes a difference. im just confused thats all. y would a guy joke about saying something like that?p.s he is married. i hav a boyfriend.

Hi!,
When he said that he is in love with you, i suppose you were a bit perplexed to hear that, so when he saw u surprised for a minute, he told you that he was kidding so that you don't walk away from his life.
That guy really like you, loves you, he told he was kidding at that moment because he thought he might lose you if he said anything more, he thought you might walk away from his life which is not bearable to him.
So don't worry, he is not kidding he loves you but he is a bit terrified that you might say NO, and he prefers having you always in his life as a friend to not having you at all by saying he loves you and you walking away because of that.
So the decision is now in your hands, think about it, and wait till he approaches you again .

mayb he is jaz playin around or probably double minded. from me is that y believe him when u suppose to like n get to know someone very very well n build up the love. Unless u believe in love at first sight. Take ur time get to know him and take advantage of him sayin that he loves u or ask him if he really means it. b honest n come out with the question.

It means that he probably is in love with you but because you didn't say it back, he didn't want to get hurt and vulnerable so he took it back in a way. Or he is just playing you along so he can brag about it to your friends - really depends what age bracket your in!!

Maybe he was actually joking.
On the other hand, it may have been him fishing for a reaction from you. Possibly looking for a certain one so he can either decide to or not to pursue anything with you.

He meant it, but when he saw your reaction to his words and saw that you didnt say the same thing back, he tried to act suave and take it back making you think he was joking.
Hes hurt apparently. Dont bring it up with him unless you feel the same way and want to say the same thing back to him.

Guys have a tendency to just try to tell girls what they want to hear. He probably thought you were ready to hear him say that, and then changed his mind later.
