My maiden name is Hanna and I'm from the Southern part of the U.S. .All my family lives here. Coincidentally, my mothers married name was also Mary Hanna! My mom's sister traced my mothers family back to the British Isles, but no one has ever traced my fathers. I am interested to know where his family originated. I wonder if it is a common name in Ireland? Maybe I'll have to get into this.
