WTH?

You do realise that by that point, the Berlin Wall was up, and Germany was split into two?

I've got some news for you... The wall fell in 1989 and now we are Allies with the Germans. We've developed two aircraft alongide them (Tornado and Typhoon) and are good political friends.

You're mixing up two eras of Warfare! (WW2 and the Cold war)

The great unwashed feminist children, left Greenham Common, after they finally forced the base to close down. I am quite sure that many of these children are now diplomats or members of parliament. However Sparkyman, you would not know about that, because you seem to have a very up-side-down view of history and a very racist attitude to-wards a member of the European Union with whom we have been allied to for many years. We did not prevent the US from with-drawing their bombers, because we wanted them off our soil and back in their own country.

Your obviously unaware that the US had bases closer to Germany that had launch capability. Along with all the subs in the med.
And there was only ever half of Germany that was in the cold war, and all the NATO troops were stationed in Berlin anyway.

You clearly have no clue who was stationed where in Germany during the Cold War.

Grow a brain, then do some research.
