I moved into a new apartment one time and the toilet made a different noise when it was flushed then the toilet I had in the old place. For some reason my cat thought it was going to attack me or something because it would literally beat up the toilet, whacking the base side to side in a frenzy when I flushed it and grab at my feet to try and stop me from going into the bathroom. It lasted about a week and it was one of the funniests things I have ever witness in a life filled with cats. Talk about having a protector.

The weirdest thing my cat does is play tag with my favroite pet rat, Lulu. They chase each other up and down the stairs. When the rat eats out of the cat food bowl, the cat runs away.
My cat woke me up last week licking my pierced nipple. That was weird.
It was also weird when he took 3 dumps in his carrier when I brought him home the first day (only a 45 minute drive).
The weirdest thing I've done to him is put him on a strict diet. He gets 1/3 cup of iams weight control food in the morning, and another 1/3 c of the same food at night.

Our cats are so funny at night they see something outside and they run to the window and whatever they see moves and they jump down from the window run across the house to look out another one. Once the thing is out of sight they continue running from one window to the next until they finally decide the thing is not out there anymore. Some times they run back and forth every 30 sec constantly for about 5-10 minutes like they are crazy.

It's also fun to play with lazerlights with them. They can climb walls and jump up pretty high :)

My cat and I stayed with my family in Michigan for a few weeks before moving to Seattle. My little tabby has "dog issues" and was hissing, swatting or chasing my Mom & Dad's dog everytime it came into the room.
One afternoon as my Mom made lunch the cat chased the dog out of the kitchen. My Mom was upset by this and gave her a little "boot" in the butt and told her she was a "Mean rotten little girl" and that she wasn't getting any tuna for lunch.
Well she went and set the table and when she came back into the kitchen my kitty had returned and was peeing in the dog food bowl and looking my Mom right in the eyes.
That's -- my best "strangest thing my cat has done" story. --Andy

One of the funniest things I've seen my cat do is carry around a ball and growl at the other cats if they get near it. Or when they start chasing the laser light and run into each other.
Or the time I was thawing out a chicken and my cat jumped up and grabbed it and tried to run away with it. It was hilarious for it was as big as the cat and he was dragging it between his legs.

I saw my cat freak out once and run straight up the side of a doorway nearly to the top, hang there for a second looking around, and then dropped down again. Very odd since it was completely out of the blue.

One Thanksgiving weekend I came home from shopping and put my grocery bags down to open the door. I proceeded to put them away. I was having a huge family dinner and there were a lot of groceries. After a few minutes I realized my cat Sophia was no where to be seen. I looked every where including out in the hall thinking she may have walked out of the apartment when I opened the door. No luck. I started to panic and decided to retrace my steps even looking through my kitchen cupboards. No luck. Feeling like an idiot I opened the fridge door and there was Sophia sitting on the first shelve eating my pumpkin pie!

One more Sophia story if you don't mind. Again, after coming home from shopping I put my bags down and left the room for a few minutes. When I came back Sophia was in a mad embrace with my latest purchase. She was moaning and rubbing it all over and hanging on for dear life. Her brother and constant companion watched her and then attacked the box it came in pushing it all over the room and hitting at it while Sophia continued to embrace my new toilet brush! And, in case you are wondering Sophia had been spayed so it wasn't like she was in heat. She just loved the feel of the brush I guess.
Great question thanks for letting me share these stories with you.

I adopted (or he adopted me) a stray kitten that probably has a bit of Norwegian Forest cat in him cause he is huge even as a kitten (big body, small head and ears). Anyway, when my neutered male cat Kaffe saw Cato (the kitten) for the first time in my arms, he meowed and meowed at him and so I lowered the kitten to the floor. Right away, Kaffe grabbed the kitten (with his mouth) by the scruff of his neck and proceeded to drag the kitten to my bedroom and into the closet. It was hilarious becuase the body of the kitten was dragging underneath Kaffe's belly so that Kaffe was walking with a funny splayed leg gait. Kaffe obviously thought that the kitten was for him. he was right of course.

I have a cat named Koi who is an adult but very small. I rescued her about 5 months ago at Cracker Barrell. Anyway, if she sees you with a pencil she will fight you to get at it. When she finally gets it she picks it up by the eraser, pointing straight out like she has a cigarette, takes it immediately to the refrigerator and shoves it underneath and walks off, like her job is done!!!
