We just had an upgrade to our computer. We plugged everything back into the hard drive - but now our audio sounds really bad (lots of background noise, but no lyrics). It sounds very watery. Does anyone know why and what to do?

It could also mean that you have 3D effects enabled. If you have audio software, open it up and you should see 3D audio effects or Surround Sound effects.

Also, download the latest drivers from the manufacturer web site. You may also want to confirm that you do have your speaker cable plugged in the correct spot. On most sound cards, it is the green port that is the line-out port.

check connection of speakers. sometimes the plug is barely out and all you getting is a what so called pour man's surround. but it could be the sound card just as well.
