Theistic evolution; Theistic evolutionists claim to believe in God and the bible, while at the same time, maintaining that all life has evolved from inorganic chemicals. But in accepting this curious concept, theistic evolutionists are forced to depart from, contradict, and compromise numerous biblical essentials. Christians who truly believe the bible to be the divinely inspired Word of God have no other recourse than to summarily dismiss and reject such a concept.
Simply stated, the theory of biological evolution asserts that non living matter somehow gave rise to simple living organisms which subsequently reproduced and diversified generating all life forms. According to this belief, all bacteria, plants, animals, and humans have risen by mere chance from a single, remote ancestor that somehow came into existence. All of this is supposed to have occurred accidentally without the benefit of any intelligence or planning. The basic premise of this "molecule to man" theory is that hydrogen gas, given enough time, will eventually turn into people.
Diametrically opposed to this viewpoint, biblical creationism postulates an initial special creation by God through which all the laws, processes, and entities of nature were brought in existence as described in the book of Genesis.
Seek the truth, God will tell you.
He doesn't want you going around deceived.

You point out extra suitable than one selection, from guided evolution to Deism. there is a few distinction between the two. My important project with the assumption of evolution and an energetic loving deity going mutually is the sheer messiness, waste and definitely cruelty in contact interior the approach. choose some extra ecological niches? No project, have a great-volcano or a important asteroid strike. Have some astounding parasitic wasps... Or an fairly nasty plague or 2... In an random international, superb, yet with a worrying deity? not truly consumer-friendly to work out. (Christians invoke the autumn at this element) i think of the midddle floor of guided evolution isn't a cushty place to hold, if evolution is easily understood.

F. Scott Fitzgerald wrote "The true test of a first-rate mind is the ability to hold two contradictory ideas at the same time and still function."
George Orwell, however, coined a term for "The power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one's mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them." The term he used was "Doublethink." He wasn't a fan, I guess, of Fitzgerald.
Personally, I agree with Fitzgerald -- so I would say some terms might be: educated -- open minded -- wise. (OK -- so someone else already gave the answer above -- but I thought the quotes were interesting and hopefully on point)

I am a Christian, and I would call it Christianity.
God did create everything and it has changed and evolved under his eye, and not opposed to his design and plan.
But we are talking "Micro- Evolution" not "Macro-Evolution" - meaning small scale changes; not man that evolved from slime into having communication, reasoning, unconditional love, etc. - those are gifts from God, among countless others.

I don't know what you would call it, but I guess that you are calling God a liar, since evolution is certainly not compatible with the Bible. Did death come as a result of man's transgression, or were animals dying for millions of years prior to man's "evolution"?
You can't have it both ways.

impossibility. believing in evolution and creation cannot mix, if you believe in evolution, you believe that death and suffering entered the world the second it was created, also that there was life before the six creation days, so basically, it places death and disease before the fall of adam, which, if you believe the bible, there was no death before the fall.

It is called theistic evolution. Most fundamentalists and all atheists (duh!) reject the notion.
I have no problem with those who think God used evolution to bring about all life. Just don't try to insert God into science classes like those who support the so-called "intelligent design".
