what kind of brain damage does meth, pcp cause, and can the severity progress over time, maybe even be fatal?

had a few bad trips about 5,6 years ago and to this day i feel so zoned and sedated like i just got done partying last night-despite being clean for 5 years. the sides of my head feel sooo tight like someone is squeezing my head with a vice, my hears buzz constantly and sometimes i go deaf in one hear and ear and hear a ring. my memory is moment by moment like a gold fish of course- i told my doctor about this but he said i was a schiz. please don't laugh, if there's anyone out there who knows about drug related brain damage and what it can do i need some serious answers.

Truth hurts when we do stuff to our bodies when we are young it catches up to us. Teeth will rot a way, brain is not as sharp as it once was, U can get paranoid & even have different personalities, mood swings Nothing like a good buzz.

Methamphetamines are in the stimulant class of drugs and cause activation of the neuroexcitatory neurons in the brain through release of glutamate. Over time this path leads to free radical formation and overstimulation of certain cells. This leads to death of brain cells - and brain cells do to grow back.

PCP is in a dissociative class of drugs although it certainly has stimulant effects as described above as well. PCP tends to act in the hippocampal region leading to a dissociation of reality from psychosis. This may lead to psychosis which is seen in schizophrenia.

meth induced psychosis stops when the drug is stopped, if you are still having problems after 5 years, you should listen to your doctor, it's not meth causing your problems. You could be schizophrenic and if your doctor tells you you are then you probably are, If you don't believe him, get a second opinion.
