im 18! and living on my own! there is this drunk person who sits outside my house in the morning, and i cant go to work sometimes, what should i do?

if you ain't scared, ask him to please leave the premises. if you are..call the police and have them ask him to leave.

If there is someone sitting outside your house everyday drunk then just call the police, especially if its someone that keeps you from going to work. If they scare you that much then they shouldnt be there. Or you could always ask that person nicely to leave and that you dont appreciate them sitting outside your apartment everymorning,day, or night being drunk.

do not be alone with the person! call your landlord (the person is probably on the property unauthorized, and could hurt you or another tenant), call the police (the person could be arrested for public intoxication), or, if you are the charitable type and you have reason to believe the person is homeless, the local homeless shelter. many will pick up people and take them to a shelter to receive aid. be very cautious, and as a young person living alone, consider purchasing mace or a similar pepper defense spray to slow down a potential attacker. it won't do any good in a purse or bookbag--keep it in your coat pocket!

You should put in a safety system, Get a dog for your protection, leave by the back door when he is there, if he doesn't leave i would contact the police that someone is hangin around on your property and that they are drunk!

If you feel that threatened by this man please call the police and make a report. You really have to be very careful these days, and if he shows up again after you've made a report get a restraining order against him. This protects you and all these things will be recorded and documented. Stay safe!

unless that person is committing a crime, theres not much you can do. but it wouldnt hurt to notify the local police department. he may become a threat. get some pepper spray.
